European Commission Launches AI Innovation Package — September 13, 2023
The European Commission unveiled measures to accelerate trustworthy AI adoption, including support for AI factories, testing facilities, and an SME voucher scheme.
The package complements the AI Act by mobilising €4 billion in public and private investment, establishing testing-and-experimentation facilities, and launching digital innovation hubs focused on generative AI. It also proposed an AI governance framework for startups and SMEs.
