About

Zeph Tech is a software and services business with research discipline

We build workflow systems, develop ZephCMS, and provide focused technology and security advisory for teams that handle sensitive records, compliance obligations, public-facing workflows, and operational complexity.

The research desk remains active because source discipline, technical accuracy, control awareness, and clear writing all improve the systems and decisions we work on.

What Zeph Tech does now

Zeph Tech focuses on practical technology outcomes: ZephCMS, custom workflow software, records and portal experiences, configurable case-management workflows, integrations, and targeted security or governance advisory.

Our best-fit work involves public-sector, regulated, security-sensitive, and operations-heavy environments where spreadsheets, file shares, manual evidence trails, aging portals, or disconnected systems no longer match the work.

ZephCMS is the flagship platform

ZephCMS is a modular Custom Management Solution that can be evaluated for document archives, public portals, configurable case-management workflows, and medicolegal death investigation through its MDI Management solution area.

Exact hosting, access-control, authentication, encryption, audit, backup, monitoring, migration, integration, and operational requirements are confirmed during evaluation and implementation rather than inferred from a generic marketing promise.

Document archives

Searchable records, metadata, access controls, versions, retention needs, and controlled retrieval shaped to the implementation.

Public portals

Public search, approved records, request workflows, publishing controls, and an external interface connected to staff operations.

MDI Management

A ZephCMS solution area for medicolegal death investigation workflows, with case, document, evidence, reporting, and integration requirements confirmed during discovery.

Research is still part of the business

Zeph Tech maintains research and guides across AI, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Developer, Data Strategy, Governance, Compliance, and Policy. Research is a public resource and a demonstration of how Zeph Tech approaches evidence, technical context, and decision support; it is not a substitute for implementation-specific discovery.

Dated briefings should be read with their publication context and cited sources. Durable guides and decision resources are maintained separately from historical reporting.

How we work with clients

  • Discovery before commitment. We map the workflow, users, permissions, records, reporting needs, constraints, and current pain before treating a product or service path as settled.
  • Use ZephCMS when it fits. If a document archive, public portal, configurable case-management workflow, or MDI Management solution fits the need, we evaluate that foundation before proposing a separate custom system.
  • Build custom when needed. If the problem needs a purpose-built workflow, dashboard, integration, or internal tool, scope and delivery are defined explicitly.
  • Security is an evaluation requirement. Access control, logging, encryption, auditability, backup, recovery, and documentation requirements are identified and verified for the actual environment.
  • Handoff and support are scoped. Documentation, support, hosting, monitoring, and ongoing operational responsibilities are defined for the engagement rather than assumed.

Editorial and technical standards

Our research standards matter because they shape how we build and advise. We prioritize primary sources, technical accuracy, citation transparency, correction discipline, explicit time context, and practical applicability. Commercial relationships do not buy editorial conclusions.

Those same principles apply to client work: recommendations should be explainable, decisions should be traceable, and implementation claims should be tied to the environment in which they will actually operate.
